THE MURDER OF MEREDITH

November 1st 2007 was “All Saints’Day”, a public holiday in Italy. Meredith Kercher’s Italian flatmates were out of town visiting family and fellow student Amanda Knox was at her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito’s house. That evening Meredith went over to see three British friends. This was the last time she was seen alive.

The Murder of Meredith reframes the narrative of the awful events that occurred on the evening of Thursday 1st November 2007, so that the focus of this crime is on the victim Meredith Kercher, a 21 year old British student who was brutally murdered in the university town of Perugia, Italy. Her story led to a media frenzy with dizzying twists and turns, and speculation. Over the years, Meredith’s life and reputation have been pulled apart and eclipsed by that of her then flatmate, the infamous Amanda Knox who at the time was accused alongside Rudy Guede and Raffaele Sollecito of being responsible for her death. Told by those involved in the case, The Murder of Meredith examines the evidence, the egos, and the errors that left Meredith’s family with more questions than answers.
